The Oak Hills High School Marching Highlanders are proud to announce their entrance into competitive marching this fall. Their first of two competitions will be the "Taylor Band Premiere" on Saturday, 9/23, at Taylor High School. OHHS will be one of 13 bands competing this day as part of an official Mid-States Band Association sanctioned event. Performances begin at 11:50 a.m., with Oak Hills scheduled to perform at 3:50 p.m. Entrance to the Taylor Premiere is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, free for children 2 and under.

“I am super excited to be marching at a competitive level this year, Brianna Rhoton, senior drum major said. “From where we were my freshman year to where we are now, I am so insanely proud to be a part of this amazing band program.”

The second and final competition will take place on Saturday, 10/28, at Colerain High School, as part of MSBA's "Colerain Band Invitational."

“The band has been tirelessly working since the middle of July and never ceases to amaze me, MaKayla Conners, senior assistant drum major added. “Their dedication and enthusiasm for the program continue to grow with every challenge the staff throws at them. I can't wait for the opportunity to showcase it all at our first competition.”

The 140-member Marching Highlanders are incredibly excited to enter into a new era of music performance, and we would love for you to be a part of it! Come and be a part of a huge, energetic Oak Hills crowd showing your support for the Marching Highlanders on 9/23 and 10/28! We hope to see you there!

OHHS director of bands, Kevin Sweatman, shared, “We are thrilled to showcase the tremendous musical talent of Oak Hills High School on this large of a scale, in front of spectators from throughout the Greater Cincinnati area. The level of dedication and hard work these students have displayed over the past several weeks has been tremendous, and we can't wait to represent Oak Hills this fall on a competitive field. It's going to be quite a ride.”
