TO-KNOW

  1. The SPG Advisory Team is meeting on Wednesday, April 19. We will be discussing plans for collecting student Chromebooks, end-of-year events, the future of Ready, Set, Read!, and thoughts on computer-based subscriptions (e.g., Learning Farm) for next year, among other potential topics. If you have ideas on these topics or other items to discuss, please share with your team representative.

  2. We will have our first tornado drill of the school year on Wednesday, April 19 at 9:00 am. I will review procedures on the P.A. prior to starting the drill and we will then proceed to locations. If you are unsure of where your class should go for the drill, please let me know.

  3. Bridgetown teacher Samantha Helms will be at Springmyer on Wednesday afternoon to shadow me as she pursues her administrative license. This is 100% UNrelated to the search for my replacement! The search process is just beginning now that we are returning from break. I will keep you informed.

  4. Testing begins again on Monday, April 24 with 3rd Grade Math. Please note that we will have indoor recess only on Wednesday, April 26, as 5th grade will be testing during the morning and afternoon. The testing schedule is available here.

TO-DO

  1. Please review locations and agendas for Monday’s Professional Learning Day. Be sure to bring any needed materials with you.

  2. Teachers: This week, I will be completing eTPES forms for Student Growth Measures and Final Summative Ratings. As I complete them, you will receive a notification email from eTPES. Two things that you will need to do:

    1. Please enter your PIN on all documents in eTPES from this school year, including the Student Growth Measure and Final Summative Ratings worksheets.

    2. I will put a hard copy of the Final Summative Rating worksheet in your mailbox. Please sign and return to Cyndi. I will then get you a copy for your records.
