TO-KNOW

  • I want to share a story with you. You are probably aware that, on top of being a chaotic testing day, this morning there were some issues with subs. Cyndi and I were in the office working through possible coverage scenarios and people kept coming into the office. ….. Without exception each person that came in said “What can I do to help.” Several people walked in and brought solutions to present. This, to me, epitomizes one of the things that makes Springmyer such a special place. We all take ownership of the school and its operation and work to assure that everyone and everything is awesome. Thank you for everything you do.

  • IMPORTANT: The District Insurance Provider and Facilities Department has issued a statement asking that we do not use “plug in air fresheners” within the building. If you have one in your classroom please remove it. It appears that there are both fire and health concerns related to these products and their use in schools.

  • Testing time has arrived. Here is a guidance document for all people that will be administering tests in the upcoming weeks (Link).

  • Everyone is required to sign-up for a mandatory “sign-off” meeting with our American Fidelity Representative. The sign-up sheet is attached (https://benefits.americanfidelity.com/oak-hills-local). The dates are  April 23rd through 25th.

  • K-2 Teachers: Please review the following spreadsheet regarding Picture Perfect Science (Link). Indicate what we need to be ready for next year. Let me know if you have questions or you can email Jennifer Campbell.

  • 3-5 Teachers: Please review the following spreadsheet regarding FOSS Science (Link). INdicate what we need to be ready for next year. Let me know if you have questions or you can email Jennifer Campbell.

  • Roster Verification has officially started. I would like to meet with 4th and 5th grade soon to begin the process. Please let me know some times when you would be available. Here is a document that should help with this process (LINK)
