TO-KNOW

  • We have a big week of events next week. I thank you in advance for your flexibility.

  • Let’s please be attentive to the students in our classrooms that do not celebrate Christmas. When possible have alternative activities available. When in doubt talk with the student and/or family to ask them how they want things handled. If you need help with this let me know. I have already spoken with a number of families about this topic.

  • Big tip-of-the-hat to Jen Murphy for agreeing to host folk from across the district for a “Lab Lesson” at Springmyer this week. I appreciate her fearlessness and willing to take-a-risk.

  • Thank you to Emily Menendez-Aponte for coming and speaking to the PTA Board this week. The talk was very informative. You may not be aware, but, Emily’s case-load is currently full.

  • Preview of coming attractions: There will be a fire drill on 12/14; Grades 3, 4, 5 Tier ⅔ meetings on 12/15; Skating Party 12/18; STAT day 12/19; Spelling Bee 12/21 (1:00); End of Quarter 12/22; High School Holiday Concert in gym 12/22 (1:00-1:45 Room Parents are allowed in rooms for set-up at 1:00); Holiday Parties 2:00 on 12/22.
