TO-KNOW

  1. I have a couple of meetings at District Office this week:
    1. On Monday, I will be at District Office from 9:45am – 11:30am. I will be available by phone and will return if needed.
    2. On Thursday, I will be at District Office until about 11am. Kathy Appiarius, teacher at Rapid Run Middle School, will be here to cover for me.
  2. On December 22 we will have an adjusted schedule for our Caring and Sharing school assembly and classroom parties. The assembly will begin at 1pm in the gym and classroom parties will follow. The specials schedule will be adjusted as noted below so that all grade levels have specials. 4th and 5th grade band and strings students will meet on the stage with Mrs. Berting.

    December 22 Specials Schedule

    1st grade 8:45- 9:15
    2nd grade 9:20- 9:50
    3rd grade 9:55- 10:25
    4th grade 10:30– 11:00
    5th grade- 12:20- 12:50

  3. Tis the season for snow days! If we have any snow days this school year, we will not skip a specials day. For example, if Monday is Day 1 and we have a snow day on Tuesday, then it will be Day 2 on Wednesday.
  4. Could you use a document camera to support instruction? I currently have two extras! If you could use one, please let me know. There is also one available for check out in the Library if you need one on an as-needed basis.
  5. A reminder that the bucket opens this Thursday, 12/15 and closes on Monday, 1/9.

TO-DO

  1. Grade 3-5 Teachers: It is already time to get a headphone count to be sure we are ready for spring testing. Please complete this spreadsheet by this Friday, 12/16, noting how many headphones you and/or your students have that work with chromebooks. (Note: I know that headphones that work in December might not be operable in March. We will have a cushion to account for headphones that might break in the interim.)
