TO-KNOW

  1. I will be out all day on Tuesday.  Emily Winkle will be covering for me. Andrea will be out from 9-1 on Wednesday.
  2. A reminder that our PTA is now offering mini-grants to fund special classroom activities and enrichment opportunities for students. They have allocated $3,000 for mini-grants for this school year. The application (available here) is quite straightforward. PTA funds are for “extras” and cannot be used to support instructional activities but can be used to support academic activities beyond the resources our District would typically provide. A few notes:
    1.  Please submit applications for me to review before submitting to PTA.
    2. Although the grant application states that $200 is the maximum grant award, the PTA will consider applications for greater amounts.
    3. Depending on how many applications are received, they may look at them on a rolling basis. For example, if you turned your application in before the March meeting, it may be considered at that meeting.
  3. The OHLSD-Staff wireless network should be working again. If you are unable to access it or continue to have problems, please let me know.

TO-DO

  1. If you haven’t already, please get your updated supply lists to Cyndi by next Wednesday. Please be sure to include any supply you will expect all students to have (e.g., composition notebooks, folders). Writing teachers, please be especially thoughtful about what needs to be added as we adopted the program too late to add writing-related items last year. Any items that are “consumables” that all students use (e.g., post-its, pens) should be added to supply lists. If you aren’t sure, please check with me.
