TO-KNOW

1. I will be at District Office all day on Friday for our monthly principals’ meeting. EJ will be covering for me (assuming he can find a sub).
2. This Tuesday is Fine Arts Night! A friendly reminder if you signed up to bring in a treat just in case you (like me!) need one!
3. Wednesday evening is our last skating party of the school year, from 6-8 at Western Roll-a-Rama. Many, many thanks to Cyndi for organizing and staffing our skating parties, which serve the dual purpose of providing a fun night for our students and raising money for our student and staff accounts. You and your families are welcome to attend! The students love seeing you there.

TO-DO

1. Please get your updated supply lists to Cyndi by this Wednesday, if you haven’t done so already. Please be sure to include any supply you will expect all students to have (e.g., composition notebooks, folders). Writing teachers, please be especially thoughtful about what needs to be added as we adopted the program too late to add writing-related items last year. Any items that are “consumables” that all students use (e.g., post-its, pens) should be added to supply lists. If you aren’t sure, please check with me.
2. We need your help distributing students’ prizes for the Read-A-Thon THIS FRIDAY! Prizes were sent to us grouped by homeroom class but not by individual student. As a result, we will need your help with sorting and distributing students’ prizes and I am requesting that we not use instructional time to hand them out (as it could be a lengthy process!). Here’s how it will work:
   1. On Monday, we will distribute the bags with prizes to homeroom teachers. Each bag includes a list of students and their chosen prizes. You will need to match the prizes to the student. Please find time to do this during planning or before/after school so that you are prepared to deliver students’ prizes on Friday.
   2. On Friday, please distribute students’ prizes. I will send a calendar invite to remind you, in case you need it!
   3. Recognizing the time that this may require, I am canceling our March faculty meeting (previously scheduled for next week). If you have questions, do not hesitate to see me, Cyndi or Shannon. Thank you for your help!
