TO-KNOW

  1. Our January faculty meeting is this Tuesday, beginning promptly at 3:20pm in the Library. Please bring your laptop. We will be discussing details about our upcoming Read-a-Thon.
  2. Our Winter AIMSWeb screening date is set for Tuesday, January 10. Andrea will be sending a schedule and additional details.
  3. If you get questions from parents who cannot see their children’s 3rd quarter grades: A heads up that until January 11 (when 2nd quarter report cards are available), ProgressBook is set to default to show 2nd quarter grades. Parents will need to manually select 3rd quarter in order to see 3rd quarter grades.

TO-DO

  1. As students return from a long break, please be sure to take extra time to review behavioral expectations with them in all areas of the building (classroom, cafeteria, carpool, hallway, etc.) and to be generous with handing out Sparky tickets to reinforce positive choices.
  2. Teachers: Please click here to review locations for our January 2 In-Service Day. A reminder that we will all begin at the high school at 8:00am. The afternoon is work time for you. I will be at District Office for a good portion of the afternoon but you should feel free to call if you need me. You are also welcome to work from home in the afternoon if it would be a more productive location for you!
  3. Teachers: Please be sure to have grades entered before the bucket closes at 11:59pm on January 9. As the District has moved to the new “electronic vault” it is especially important that grades are entered on time and accurately. If changes are made after the bucket closes, parents will not be able to see them until the 3rd quarter bucket closes. To help ensure everyone is on track, Cyndi will run a report on the morning of January 9, and check in with anyone who has missing grades.
  4. Next week, Sarah and I will be doing a building walk through with Operations Director John Beckemeyer about facility-related needs and wants for next school year. Rest assured that parking and cooling are always on the list! If you have noticed other needs (or wants) for the building, however, please let me know. No promises on anything, but it never hurts to ask!
