TO-KNOW

  • Welcome back. Hope you are rested and ready to get back to school and get back in the routine. OUr students will be struggling with a lack of routine this week. Please take some time to review rules, routines, and expectations.

  • IMPORTANT: During the week of January 22nd Grade-Levels will be receiving training related to administration of the IOWA Assessment. Training will take place during planning times. I will give you the exact date once the trainers have given them to me.  Prior to that week please do the following if you will be administering the assessment (2nd, 3rd, 4th grade teachers, Instructional Assistants, Special education)”

    • Earlier this year, all teachers should have received an email from [email protected] that prompted them to create an account.

    • Make sure you have created your account through riversidedatamanager.com.  

    • Bring your computer to the training

  • IOWA and CogAT dates are being developed. I’ll give you more information once training has happened.  

    • 2nd grade will be administering CogAT and IOWA on paper

    • 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade will be administering the CogAT or IOWA online

    • Paper materials will be ponied to your buildings on Friday, January 19

    • At this time the dates are as follows:

      • 2/5/2018  2nd Grade CogAT

      • 2/8/2018  3rd Grade CogAT

      • 2/9/2018 4th IOWA Part #1

      • 2/12/2018 4th Grade IOWA Part #2

      • 2/13/2018 2nd Grade IOWA Part #1

      • 2/14/2018 2nd Grade IOWA Part #2

      • 2/15/2018 IOWA/CogAT Make-ups

  • We will be starting the Read-A-Thon through the end of  January! Please see the following document for more details (Link).

  • Bridgette Ridley will be in the building during the afternoon visiting classrooms and learning more about technology usage and innovation at Springmyer.
