TO-KNOW

  1. On Monday afternoon, I will begin afternoon announcements at 2:45pm. This will allow time for me to review new dismissal procedures for carpool while providing you time to answer any follow-up questions that students might have about where they should go. The main idea is that students whose parents typically park and are waiting for them by the awning at 3pm should go directly outside. All other students should report to the gym where they will sit silently and wait to report outside until their name is called over the radio. Thank you for your help with this adjustment; the carpool team is hopeful that it will lead a more safe and orderly dismissal!
  2. I will be at District Office for a principals’ meeting on Tuesday morning until about 12:30. I will be available by phone and will return if needed.
  3. This flyer has details about the Ohio Writing Project’s spring and summer workshops and Master’s programs.

TO-DO

  1. So far we have raised $4,468.50 through the Read-a-Thon! 508 students have created personal pages and 131 students have received donations. Please continue to encourage students to seek sponsors; it’s not too late!
  2. Teachers: Thank you for your efforts to reach out to families to schedule conferences. Please continue to update this spreadsheet if you schedule conferences over the next couple of days.
  3. Teachers: Our next Professional Learning Day is Friday, February 17. We will have some time together as a building team on this day, providing a great opportunity for vertical team conversations and planning (among other things!). I would like your input about what would be most useful during this time! By the end of the week, please review this document and add any additional ideas regarding how you or your team would benefit from this time together. I have started the document with ideas from the feedback provided after our December faculty meeting and conversations I have had with grade level teams.  I’d like to get as many ideas as possible. I will then share them back to everyone, asking what your priorities are and creating a plan for our time together from there.
