Happy New Year.

• TGRG Tutoring: There are 14 students eligible TGRG tutoring. If you are willing to give some time to make a difference in a reader’s life before or after school please let me know. Teachers and Aides will be compensated for their time. Just let me know.

• Gifted No Service Letters: The state requires that we send out letters to all parents that have been identified as gifted in some area that is not served by our district. Here is a link for a FAQ (Link). Please read through this prior to January 12th when parents will receive letters. Refer parent questions to me. Here is a list of students that will be getting a letter (Link)

• Here is the  “Learners Welcome” Survey (Link). I would appreciate it if you would provide me with feedback prior to  January 12th.

• Thank you for participating in the color activity during the last staff meeting. With 20 responses turned in here is how we stand as a staff:

• IOWA and CogAT dates are being developed. I’ll give you more information once training has happened.  

• Grade 2 = IOWA and CogAT; Grade 3 = CogAT (2017-18 only); Grade 4 = IOWA

• CogAT - There are three batteries-Verbal, Quantitative and Nonverbal. For each battery there are 3 subtests, totaling 9. Please allow 2-2.5 hours for administration.

• IOWA - We will be administering Reading and Math portions ONLY. Each portion takes 60 minutes, totaling 2 hours for administration.

• At this time the dates are as follows:

• 2/5/2018  2nd Grade CogAT

• 2/8/2018  3rd Grade CogAT

• 2/9/2018 4th IOWA Part #1

• 2/12/2018 4th Grade IOWA Part #2

• 2) For Chromebooks (Staff only)

• For your staff Chromebook, use these steps.   Do not log student Chromebooks on using your account.  They should remain on OhLsD-Google.
