TO-KNOW

  1. I am continuing to work with Vartek on the connectivity issues that we experienced last week. In the meantime, if you are having ongoing connectivity issues beyond those that are impacting the whole building, please submit a ticket and let me know.
  2. Cyndi is still looking for donations to our One Hope, One Heart basket. Any donations are welcome (and gift cards or money are especially welcome!). Please get donations to her by the end of the week.
  3. Applications are now being accepted by the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation, which awards grants to Ohio teachers for a range of projects. Details are available here. The deadline is April 13. This is how Sarah Bertke received funding for the minion project she did with students last year. Please reach out to her if you have questions!
  4. This week is Spirit Week! Staff members are welcome to join the fun of showing your spirit. Monday is pajama day.  Tuesday is Dress Your Best, Wednesday is Wacky Tacky Crazy Hair Day, Thursday is Career Day, and Friday is Green Day!
  5. I will be at District Office this Monday afternoon, from about 12 pm – 2 pm. We have kindergarten registration in the building this Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 – 6:30. We will be using the Library and main entryway during those times.

TO-DO

  1. Picture day is Tuesday in the library (sign up sheet viewable here). For Spring pictures, all students will have a picture taken and parents will decide whether to purchase after seeing the prints. On Monday morning, you will find reminder stickers for student planners in your mailbox. Please distribute these to students on Monday.
  2. Our Third Quarter PBIS party is scheduled for Friday, March 17 immediately following announcements. The list of invited students is herePlease let me know by Thursday if you feel that a student should not participate.
  3. Spring AIR testing begins the week of March 27.  This Spring AIR Testing Schedule Spreadsheet includes information about testing days, including necessary schedule changes, who will be used as assessors, and which rooms will be used for testing. Our 4th and 5th grades have especially large groups of students requiring accommodations which means that most support staff and spaces will be in use. Please note that we are still finalizing the assessor schedule, so it may change slightly. Please review the schedule document with your team and let me know if you see scheduling conflicts or other issues. (Note: There are two tabs that you will need to review.)
