Today, Oak Hills High School held their annual Veterans Day assembly in honor of all who have served in the military. Students applauded and held up signs as the veterans entered the gym to the music of the Oak Hills band. Student-created videos honored the sacrifices of the veterans and slideshow montages welcomed each visiting veteran listing their years of service and military branch.

The ceremony included meaningful words from retired Colonel Grant Jacoby. Members of the Oak Hills choir and orchestra performed Hallelujah to thank guests for their service. Former OHHS teacher Donnie Becker lead and narrated the missing man table ceremony remembering those who gave their lives while serving and didn't return home.

After the assembly, veterans and their student guides proceeded to the old gym for lunch and classroom visits where the students had the opportunity to talk with and learn from our nation's heroes. Thank you for your service, veterans! We appreciate all you’ve done for our country.
