OHHS students travel to Guatemala

Posted on: August 30, 2017

OHHS teacher Chris Gibfried took a group of students to Antigua, Guatemala this summer. Students spent two and a half weeks with host families and attended school.

On several days the group took field trips around Guatemala. They visited a chocolate factory, coffee plantation, tilapia farm, Mayan ruins and even climbed an active volcano!

The trip was part of the Guatemalan American Exchange Club done yearly at Oak Hills. In the fall Oak Hills will host 15 students from the schools the group visited. We are currently looking for families to host these wonderful students. If interested, contact Chris at [email protected].
