With summer winding down, we are hoping students will feel “Right At School” when classes resume on August 15. What better way to do that than by offering busy parents a chance to drop off their kids early and/or pick them up later at any of the district's five elementary schools.

The school district began its partnership with Right At School in May of 2015. Right At School has now offered before-and-after school, full-day and summer camp enrichment programs to students in the district for almost a year.

To date, Right At School has shared $8,707 in program revenue with us as well as $5,924 in school district sponsorship dollars and donations. Right At School offers a 20% discount to all school district employees as well as families who qualify for free and reduced lunch.

Parents can opt to enroll their kindergarten through fifth grade youngsters in the Early Adventures before-school program or Right Club after-school program, Monday through Friday. The program offers flexible scheduling to meet the needs of all families. Right At School also accepts subsidy from the county for a limited number of families to ensure their enrichment programs are equitable for all families. Right At School also has full-day programs during holidays, teacher in-service days, as well as if school should be closed due to cold weather.

“We’re here for parents looking for a safe, comfortable and fun place for their children before and after school," Oak Hills local Right At School Area Manager, Christy Walker, said. "Led by our nurturing educators, children will complete their homework, engage in fun fitness, participate in our enrichment curriculum (with unit themes like ‘Inventors’ Workshop,’ ‘Water Wizards’ and ‘Twisted Tales’) and become part of a community that feels like family."

To register, parents may visit the website or call 855-287-2466. Questions can also be directed to Christy Walker at 740-853-3675 or [email protected]com.
