The Oak Hills FRC 4284 team at Oak Hills High School is giving back at John Foster Dulles Elementary School this week. They helped our younger Highlanders explore different stations during the COSI on wheels exhibit.

Not familiar with the robotics team? Their mission is to learn industrial and engineering techniques by designing and building a successful FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) robot. They also desire to use engineering design to enhance our community and solve problems. How awesome is that?

Each school year they work toward the construction of a drivable robot for the Robotics competition in April. Along with the ultimate goal of a drivable robot to compete with, they also do many side projects throughout the year in order to be involved in the Oak Hills community.

The team is busy fundraising for the competition entrance fee, parts for construction, community outreach projects and more and needs $23,000 to reach their goal. If you’d like to contribute to this talented group of kids and the ScotBot team visit https://www.gofundme.com/ohhsrobotics.
