READ-A-THON

Are you ready to help Springmyer Learners reach their reading goals?

 Springmyer students will be participating in a Read-A-Thon in January. Materials will be going home with students on January 8th to begin setting up their pages.  We will hold ten in-school reading sessions from January 17th through January 30th.

 The Read-A-Thon will raise money to support the costs of our reading program, including the Accelerated Reader program and student incentives. Students can also earn prizes for participating and raising money!

 The first thing students can do to help is create a personal Read-A-Thon webpage. It’s easy to do! Just visit Springmyer Read-a-Thon, enter your secret code, and you’re all set. Students received their secret codes in backpacks on January 9th! You even get to pick a prize just for creating your page.

All classrooms that have 90% of students create a personal webpage by January 17th will get to have a pajama day on Friday, January 26th.

You will collect donations for the Read-a-Thon through your personal webpage. The more you collect, the more you get to spend in the special prize store.

We also will have a donut party for the three classrooms that collect the most money.

New this year, any student that collects $100 or more in donations will be enter into a drawing to win one of two stuffed "SPARKYS"!

Want to join our Springmyer Read-a-Thon Wall of Fame?! Just collect donations from five or more people or a total of $50 or more and your name will be on display!
