Dear Rapid Run Students and Families,

I hope your summer has been restful, energizing, and full of family time. As we look ahead to the 2025–26 school year, I’m excited to welcome you back to Rapid Run Middle School—and honored to continue serving as your principal.

Just like the students, our staff is returning with renewed purpose and enthusiasm. This year, two key focus areas will guide our work: improving student attendance and launching our new Advisory program.

Consistent school attendance plays a vital role in student success. Even missing just 10% of school days—about two days a month—can significantly reduce the likelihood of on-time graduation and increase the risk of academic setbacks. We know that life can be unpredictable, and we’re here to partner with you in helping every student build strong attendance habits.

We’re also thrilled to introduce Advisory, a daily period where students will start each day with a trusted teacher and small group of peers. Advisory will focus on connection, support, and communication—helping students feel a strong sense of belonging while keeping academic learning blocks focused and uninterrupted.

At RRMS, we believe middle school is a journey best taken together. Whether it’s a quick check-in, a conversation about your child’s day, or joining us for a school event—we are grateful for your partnership.
