Dear Rapid Run Students and Families,

I’m Will Beinkemper, and I’m honored to serve as principal of RRMS. This is my fifth year in this role, but my connection to Rapid Run and the Oak Hills community is also deeply personal. My family lives in the district, my wife is both an alumna and an employee of Oak Hills, and my own children have attended, currently attend, and will attend Rapid Run. That gives me the opportunity to experience middle school from both sides of the desk—as a principal and as a parent.

Middle school is an exciting and important time in a student’s life. It is a period of tremendous academic, social, and personal growth, and our staff is committed to helping every student feel known, supported, challenged, and successful. We believe students are most willing to take on new challenges when they know the adults around them care about them and are invested in their success.

At Rapid Run, we hold students to high expectations while walking alongside them every step of the way. Through our daily advisory program, students build meaningful relationships with their peers and with trusted adults in the building. Across every subject area, we emphasize strong literacy instruction so students develop the language and skills they need to think critically, communicate clearly, and succeed. We also encourage students to be here, on time, and ready to learn each day because every school day matters.

The success of our students depends on a strong partnership between school and home. We value open communication, appreciate the trust families place in us, and welcome the opportunity to work together throughout the year.

I am proud of the students, staff, and families who make Rapid Run such a special place, and I look forward to another outstanding year together.
