Annual SOS ART Youth Art Exhibition Opening this Weekend!

The SOS ART YOUTH Art Exhibition and Event of Creative Expressions for Peace and Justice is an annual multidisciplinary show and event featuring youth voices for Peace and Justice. Artworks, creative writings, or performances for the exhibition focus on any of the broad themes of Peace and Justice, including but not limited to the following: Tolerance, Empathy and Compassion, Equity and Equality, Homelessness, Discrimination, War and Non-War Related Violence, Environment, Race, Religion, Poverty, etc.

The exhibition, now in its 5th year, will take place February 21st-28th, 2026, in partnership with SOS ART, the OHHS National Art Honor Society, and Southwest Ohio Art Education Association.

Additionally this year, we will be showcasing some very special new artists who will be participating in this year’s SOS ART Youth Exhibition. Youth from Young Envoys International in Hyderabad, and the Tamil Nadu Government Model Schools in Chennai, India will be lending their voice to issues related to peace and justice and sharing their perspectives at the upcoming exhibition! Many of their works are for sale. If you would like to purchase one, please let me know. All of the funds from sales will be sent back to the students in India.

You can view information about the event, including the evolving schedule for what will take place each day, at https://sosartcincinnati.com/sos-art-youth-exhibition/ We will have representatives from the Greater Cincinnati Homeless Coalition, Black Art Speaks, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, and SOS ART on site facilitating activities and providing information for community resources as well as a special showing of select images from the 10 Women exhibition developed by local award winning author/historian and Enquirer columnist, Jeff Suess.
