Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
Brynn Schreck Girls' Soccer Jr.
Brynn has been a vital contributor to both our midfield and back line early in the season. In our season opener against a strong, attack-minded West Clermont team, she played a key role in our defensive effort while also doing an excellent job distributing the ball and connecting our lines. Her composure and awareness on the field make her an anchor in our system. Off the field, Brynn continues to impress as she takes on a rigorous academic schedule, including multiple AP and honors courses!
Zeina Masri Girls' Tennis Fr.
Zeina earned her first two wins of career against Centerville and Toledo Notre Dame. When Zeina is not on the tennis court she is a volunteer at the Cincinnati Museum center as a youth program volunteer. Zeina has a 3.7 GPA and also wants to be part of the French Club and student council.
Cade Sauer Boys' Golf Soph
Cade Sauer led the Highlanders with a 4th place 75 at Glenview Mason Inv. He was medalist (38) in a victory vs Colerain
Elin Lockwood Girls' Golf Fr.
Elin has stepped directly into an important role on the Varsity team! She is dedicated, optimistic & passionate about golf. She's a valuable teammate and works hard through every practice, match & tournament to support her teammates, do her best, improve and learn from her challenges. She has a full schedule of Honors & AP classes and is eager to step up to the challenges of a varsity sport!
Gabby Ball Cheerleading Soph.
As a member of our jv sideline squad and our varsity game day competition team, Gaby has proved this summer that although she is fairly new to the sport, she is determined to grow her skills and be one of our strongest team members. She worked hard this preseason improving her stunting skills and beautifully overcame her uncertainty of flying. Gaby is also putting in the time outside of practices to develop her tumbling skills. She has exhibited great leadership skills this summer and has been encouraging to all of her teammates on the sideline and competition mat. You can also catch Gaby representing Oak Hills on the lacrosse field in the spring.
Peyton Kilgore Girls' Volleyball Jr.
Peyton really stepped up in the libero position during our pre-season scrimmage when a player became injured. She took lead of the back row and rattled off multiple aces that helped the Highlanders defeat Fairfield and East. We are excited for the depth Peyton will bring to our defense this year.
Sam Levinsohn Boys' Soccer Sr.
Sam has been a fantastic leader and teammate during practice and our season opener. His communication has been great for us in our opening week.
Allyson Hassett Girls' Cross Country Jr.
Allyson is an outstanding example of perseverance and determination. After suffering a torn ACL, she has spent the past nine months working tirelessly to come back stronger than ever. Her dedication and relentless effort have paid off, as she is now running strong. Recently voted a team captain, Allyson leads by example showing her teammates what it means to stay positive, work hard, and overcome adversity.
