Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
 
Aleah Coster               Girls' Soccer / Girls' Cross Country            Jr.
Aleah had 1 goal and 2 assists this week, helping the Highlanders stay unbeaten.  Aleah is a great distributor and engine in the midfield for the Highlanders. She is also the #1 runner for the Cross Country team, and a top runner in the State! While playing 2 varsity sports in the same season. Aleah is also taking 4 AP and 1 Honors course with a 4.62 GPA !
 
Olivia Combs          Girls' Golf                  Soph
Olivia is a fantastic student, a great teammate and a rising star for golf! She played up on the Varsity girls team last week and scored in the top 4 to contribute to our double win over Princeton & Hamilton. 
She is an excellent student and is also a member of SALT (Student Leadership).
 
Alex Marshall         Cheerleading                    Sr.
Alex is a member of our varsity sideline teams and our game day competition team. You can always count on Alex to have a bright smile on her face and kind words. She has been a terrific addition to our FNL sideline with her big spirit and positivity! You can also catch Alex on the homecoming court this month and on the lacrosse field this spring. 
 
Rachael Wunderlich                Girls' Cross Country            Sr.               
Senior captain Rachael Wunderlich had an outstanding race on Saturday, placing 29th out of 222 runners and finishing as the team’s 4th scorer with a personal best of 20:41. Her strong performance was instrumental in the team’s impressive 3rd place finish out of 31 teams. Rachael raced with focus and determination, stepping up as a key contributor for her team.
 
Cooper Thomas             Boys' Golf                   Soph
Cooper was low score (43) for the Highlanders at Miami View vs Hamilton. Cooper plays on the Highlanders Lacrosse team as well.
 
Ella Herrmann                   Girls' Tennis                    Sr.
Ella Herrmann earned her first career varsity win this past week.   Ella and her partner, Reilly Murphy, defeated Lakota East 6-2, 7-5.  Ella currently has a 4.0 GPA while attending Diamond Oaks for sports medicine and is also a member of the Spanish Honors Society. 
 
Mason Lauman Boys' Soccer Fr
Mason has had a great impact off the bench this year as a freshman. Against Sycamore, Mason had his first career start and was a bright spot in the game. Mason is a great teammate and a student.
