Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week over the last 2 weeks!
 
Brady Kornmann                 Boys' Basketball                           Sr.
Brady is a rare 3 sport athlete (Football, Basketball, and Baseball) who is a true competitor and great teammate. Brady handles much of our ball handling needs, guards the opponent's best player; in other words, he selflessly does whatever the team needs. He shows up and works every day. He has been a member of our SALT leadership team, and he has a 3.26 GPA. 
 
Anthony Gilkey                   Boys' Bowling                 Fr.
Anthony has put in the work this season and so far it has paid off for him. This past weekend Anthony finished 1st overall at the Jingle Bell Bash. Along with his bowling Anthony is a great teammate and continues to improve everyday.
 
Pia Tripathy                 Academic Team                 Fr.
Pia has been a great addition to the Academic Quiz Team.  She has done a great job and is one of our top contributors on the JV team!  She has a bright future on the Academic Quiz Team!
 
Lincoln Schreiber             Boys' Basketball                Jr.
Lincoln is a 3 sport athlete and played valuable minutes in our last win vs. West Clermont. Lincoln competes and makes "winning plays."
He is an excellent teammate, and an excellent student, with a 4.44 GPA. 
 
Lillie Anderson                Girls' Wrestling                  Sr.
Lillie Finished Second at the Ross Invitational. She helped lead the team to a 3rd Place finish. 
 
Isabelle Barkley                  Girls' Wrestling                    Sr.
Isabelle Finished Second at the Ross Invitational. She also helped lead the Team to a 3rd Place finish.
 
Helena Phillips              Academic Team              Jr.
Helena has been a great leader on the Academic Quiz Team this year!  Helena consistently does everything that is asked of her to the best of her ability, setting a great example for her teammates!  Helena is constantly challenging herself in the classroom through multiple AP and CCP courses and is one of the top students in the Class of 2027!
 
Jonovan Herzog              Boys' Basketball                Sr.
Jonovan is a multi-sport athlete who has been getting more consistent with his work ethic and competitiveness. He is versatile and skilled, and he was instrumental in the Highlanders taking 3rd place in the Red Division in the Smoky Mountain Christmas Classic. 
 
Kobe Hall                  Boys' Basketball                   Sr.
Kobe returned to the Boys' Basketball program for his senior year. He put in a lot of work over the summer and fall. He has been very competitive in practice and helps the varsity prepare for each game. Kobe has earned the respect and pride of our student-athletes as a selfless teammate. He attends Diamond Oaks in the Electrician's Program. 
 
Anna Shattuck             Girls' Bowling                     Soph.
Anna had a good showing at the first tournament of 2026, the Back to School Bash, on Saturday at Rollhouse Fairfield. She finished 9th overall with a good series of 336 pins, averaging 168 pins per game. This was also the first tournament of the year for the girls to bowl on the State Sectional/District oil pattern; which is a higher level of difficulty. Anna's efforts helped lead the Highlanders to a 6th place overall finish out of 32 participating teams. 
 
Isabel Dellecave          Girls' Wrestling                  Jr.
Isabel helped lead our team to a 4-2 team record at the Marysville Duals this past weekend. She made adjustments to her weight class on short notice, and help lead the team to victories over Lakota East, Brush, Miami Trace, and River Valley 
 
Brady Seiler                 Boys' Bowling                    Soph.
Brayden has worked hard over the summer to improve his game and it has reflected this season. Brayden is also a great teammate and is constantly looking to improve any chance he gets. 
 
Jason Eby                  Boys' Bowling                         Sr.
Jason has been a very consistent bowler for the boys this season. Along with that Jason has been a great teammate and leader on varsity. Jason is in the top 30 bowlers in the GMC.
 
Logan Ramstetter               Academic Team                Jr.
Logan has done a great job of preparing for our season and is a great example for his teammates!  Logan is also a great student who challenges himself in the classroom by taking multiple AP and CCP courses!
