Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

Katie Swafford               Girls' Wrestling           Sr.
She took 4th place at the Shelly Ruberg Harrison HS Invite to help lead Oak Hills to a second place finish.

Corbin Hazlett             Boys' Swimming              Jr.
Corbin has made great strides this season, proving himself to be one of the most versatile swimmers on the team. He has dropped an astonishing 15 seconds in the 100 breastroke from the previous season- climbing the ranks to become the men's top breaststroker and a part of the "A" 200 medley relay. Corbin has also made incredible improvements in his butterfly, sprint free, individual medley, and distance free. He has done all this whilst balancing a full course load of AP and college prep classes. We should be looking forward to seeing Corbin's trajectory through the end of this season and his senior year.

Lydia Thibodeaux             Girls Swimming                  Jr.
This past senior night, Lydia dominated one of the hardest doubles in high school swimming- the 200 free and 100 fly. With a quick turnaround time, Lydia was able to touch in first place in both events- securing the win over Little Miami. She was our female high point scorer of the meet. Lydia has proven herself to be one of the more versatile swimmers on the women's side, competing in every stroke over all the distances. We are looking forward to seeing her home in her individual medley and fly specialties during her run in the OHSAA state tournament.

Nikolaus Tripathy               Academic Team                     Jr.
Nikolaus has been one of our top players all season consistently performing well in all categories.  Nikolaus is also involved in a number of activities at Oak Hills and is one of the top students in the Class of 2027!

Aiden has stepped up this season as a leader and as a teammate. Alongside that he has worked hard to improve his game this season and it has improved his average by 20 pins.

Brady Wergers                 Boys' Basketball                   Sr.
Brady, a co-captain, is a multi-sport athlete (Boys' Basketball, Boys' Soccer). His value to the team is not measured in statistics. Brady makes "winning plays" throughout the game. He defends, rebounds, wins 50-50 balls and is a great teammate. He has been a member of SALT (Student Leadership). He attends Diamond Oaks and has a 3.592 GPA.

Wil Kraus                   Boys Basketball                     Sr.
