Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
 
Will Rhoads                 Boys' Volleyball                 Sr.
Will is a first year player for us, and has stepped in over the offseason and preseason with great work ethic and really picked up the sport quickly! 
 
Ella Weinmann             Girls' Bowling                      Sr.
Senior Varsity A bowler, Ella Weinmann, wrapped an incredible 4-year varsity career as a Highlander at the State Championship tournament in Columbus on Saturday. Ella led the team with games of 224, 209, and 217 to roll her new career high series of 650 pins! This fantastic effort landed her 4th individually and solidified her spot on 1st Team All-Ohio! Ella's performance helped the Lady Highlanders to finish in 10th place overall; a feat that hasn't been done by an Oak Hills girls bowling team in more than 20 years!
 
Mariah Cook                Girls' Softball                    Jr.
Jr 3rd baseman Mariah Cook worked hard all winter attending lifting and morning workouts. Her natural leadership came out during those workouts. You'd never know she was new to Oak Hills as she hasn't skipped a beat. Her hard work and enthusiasm will pay off this spring. Her GPA is 3.86, so she also earns success in the classroom.
 
Wil Kraus            Boys' Basketball                    Sr
Senior captain and multi-sport athlete Wil Kraus, helped Oak hills capture a District Championship as the Highlanders won Tuesday vs. Lebanon and Saturday vs. Lakota East. Wil played a major role in Oak Hills defense both games and he contributed 14 points and 4 rebounds. Wil earned a 4.47 GPA. He is a Wright State University commit for Baseball.
