Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
 
Wil Kraus               Baseball                Sr.
Wil started the season with a record breaking hitting performance in the opening weekend DH.  He went 6-9 with 3 doubles making him the career leader in doubles and had 1 triple that made him the career leader in triples.
 
Kaden Gnoose              Boys' Lacrosse                   Sr.
Kaden is a team captain and is currently third in the GMC for caused turnovers
 
Brenna Hackworth               Softball                    Soph.
Outfielder Brenna Hackworth went 2/3 against New Richmond hitting .667 adding a double and slugged 1000 on the day. Brenna is a force in the outfield and has made multiple putouts to help lead the Highlanders to a 2-1 start. Brenna is also a leader in the classroom with a 4.64 gpa. 
 
Gracie Metz                 Girls' Lacrosse                Soph
Gracie has had a strong past few weeks against Anderson, Lakota West, and Sycamore. As a sophomore on varsity, she stepped into a key role by face-guarding Anderson’s top scorer and helping limit their offense. She consistently pushes herself to improve in practice. So far this season, Gracie has recorded 4 ground balls, 1 draw control, and 1 caused turnover.
 
Mandy Gehring              Girls' Track                    Sr.
Mandy has the abilities to pick and choose which events she does week to week, and excels at them all.  At the Harrison Wildcat Opener, she finished 1st in high jump, 2nd in shot put, 3rd in long jump, and 3rd in the 100 hurdles.
 
JT Harper               Boys' Track                   Jr.
JT was the top thrower for Oak Hills last year and picked up right where he left off.   At the Harrison Wildcat Opener, he finished 1st in discus throw and 3rd in shot put.
 
Biore Harris               Girls' Track                  Sr.
Biore started her senior year off with a bang.   At the Harrison Wildcat Opener, she finished 1st in the 100 hurdles, 2nd in the 300 hurdles, 8th in high jump and was a late addition to the 2nd place 4x400 relay team, stepping in to help her team at the last minute.
 
Dariyan Summers             Boys' Track               Sr.
Dariyan has been on the brink of greatness for a couple years and it seems he might have arrived in his senior year.   At the Harrison Wildcat Opener, he finished 1st in the 100m, 5th in the 200m and was the lead off leg on the 1st place 4x400 relay team.
