GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to our Highlanders named GMC Athletes of the Week!
Steven Granger      Boys' Bowling             Sr.
Steven had the team-high 447 Series against Northwest which helped lead the team to a 2770-2511 win moving the team to 8-0. The 447 series was Steven's career-high and also included a career-high game of 257.  
Brynn Gourley            Jr.             Girls' Basketball
Brynn, a junior forward, scored 23 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and shot a perfect 10 for 10 in two wins last week. She scored a career-high 14 points and hit all six of her free throws in the fourth quarter in a big win over Seton. She followed that up with a 9 point, 3 rebound and 4-4 performance from the free throw line in a 55-54 win over Fairfield. She currently leads the GMC in free throw percentage at 95%, going 19 of 20 so far this season. Brynn is also a member of the varsity volleyball team and carries a 3.6 GPA.  
Paige Mettey            Jr.          Girls' Bowling
On December 19th, Paige rolled her new high game of 223 and high series of the season a 395 at Northwest Lanes. Leading the girls' team to a 500+ pin victory over Northwest and to remain undefeated going into 2020!  
Adonis Caneris        Jr.       Boys' Basketball
AC scored 38 points on 14-21 from the field and 7-9 from the FT line. More importantly, he added 9 rebounds and had 2 assists in the 2 wins this past week. AC is a 4.0 student in AP and Honors classes. He volunteers in a variety of community service activities as well.
