Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

Corbin Hazlett              Boys' Cross Country                   Sr.
Corbin improved by 11 seconds on his mile time trial from the previous summer. He has practiced and trained consistently this summer and his hard work is paying off! He is the definition of leading by example.

Brayden McIntyre             Football                  Sr.
Brayden has shown great leadership through the summer and pre season. He has been willing to fill any role needed on the team!!

Owen Schmalz                  Football                        Sr.
After starting all last year at offensive tackle, Owen has embraced a position change to offensive center. He has done a great job working through the differences in the positions and has had a great attitude and work ethic everyday!

Wes Wellendorf                 Boys' Golf                      Fr.
Wes has played solid golf for the Highlanders with a 41.3 (9 hole scoring average). Wes is playing for the Highlanders boys soccer team this season as well as golf.

Elin Lockwood                  Girls' Golf                      Soph
Elin is beginning her 2nd year on the Varsity team. Last week, in the Forest Hills Invitational, she improved her score from last year by a shocking 19 strokes! She also birdied a difficult hole at the Vineyard course that day! We expect Elin to continue to post improved scores and be a great value to our team!

Taylor Spille               Girls' Soccer                     Jr.
Taylor had 2 goals and 1 assist to help the Highlanders to a 5-2 win over West Clermont.  Taylor is one of the Captains this season, as she leads on and off the field. Taylor excels in the classroom with a 4.11 GPA.

Brian Meyer                Boys' Soccer                Jr.
Junior captain Brian Meyer has been great for our team leading into our first regular season game. In our first game Brian had 8 saves on 9 shots against Loveland helping us stay in the game! He looks to build on this performance this week with two games at home! Brian also has a 4.231 GPA.

Adrina Prue                 Cheerleading                    Jr.
Adrina exemplifies true dedication and leadership as a standout athlete. She continuously pushes herself to elevate every aspect of her sport, making noticeable strides in weight room conditioning, stunting, sideline and competition performance. Rather than seeking the spotlight, Adrina quietly leads by example through her relentless work ethic, standing out as one of the hardest working athletes on the squad.
