Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
Brycen Kessler Boys' Basketball Sr
Brycen has not always scored a lot of points but he consistently leads the team as a captain. He has sacrificed scoring to improve his defensive efforts. As a leader he works extremely hard by putting in extra time, making good choices on and off the court, earning great grades as a 4.0 student, and by being the most vocal player in practice. Stats might show somebody's basketball skill but Brycen's true talent is in his character and heart!
Petros Vidas Academic Team Fr.
Petros has been a valuable addition to the Academic Quiz Team this season. He has worked his way up to the varsity lineup as a freshman and has been particularly impactful with questions about geography, being one of the best in the league in that particular category. Petros will be a valuable member of our team for years to come.
Sean Boeh Boys' Wrestling Soph
Sean went 3-1 on the weekend securing 3rd place in the sectional and advanced to the district tournament. He is the only sophomore to qualify in his weight class.
Kasey Burke Girls' Wrestling Soph
Kasey finished 3rd place at Pre Regionals @ Greeneview High School this past weekend and advanced to the Regional tournament at Harrison on March 2nd.
