Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

Brady Raible               Boys' Volleyball         Jr
Brady has been a vital part of the Highlanders all season, but this week he stepped up and had over 30 digs throughout their 3 games, and passed over a 2.0 rating over the week!

Kennedy Schulte          Girls' Lacrosse               Fr
Kennedy helped both our teams to wins on Friday night against McNick. With 6 JV goals and a handful of draw controls, she showed true leadership on the field. She was also a huge asset to our Varsity team, as she is a consistent player that can be counted on for transitions and offensive saves. Kennedy has already grown so much, we can not wait to see how she grows in the rest of her high school career!

Gabe Cox       Baseball                Jr
Gabe Cox is a multisport athlete, basketball and baseball. He earned his first GMC win, pitching a full game against Middletown this week. Gabe only gave up 3 hits, had 3 strikeouts and no earned runs. Gabe is a strong student-athlete in the top 2% of his class, maintaining a 4.0 in AP and honors classes. He is a member of NHS and Spanish NHS.

Daniel Miller        Boys' Tennis           Sr
Daniel Miller went 3-0 on the week defeating Summit, Princeton, and Colerain. Daniel has helped propel the Highlanders to a 6-3 record thus far. Daniel has a 4.0 in all Honors and AP classes.

Leanna Steelman            Softball             Jr
Leanna has been a consistent piece in our 10-5 season start. She is a true gamer/hustler. She came in this season with the least amount of experience and has made one of the biggest impacts. She is always going as hard as she can to make big plays and finds ways to get on base. She has held steady in centerfield coming up with game changing catches and has gunned a few runners out at home. Leanna is hitting in the two spot getting SAC bunts down when needed and hitting .385 with a .404 OBP. Leanna is a total team player and always does what is asked of her. Leanna finds ways to help her team win.

Annabelle Hageman            Girl's Track             Jr
Annabelle is a three sport varsity athlete (Track, Cross Country, Swimming). She is one of the strongest leaders on the team. She has helped lead the way for the mid distance group this season, racing most frequently in the 4x800 and the 800 meters. At the Elder Invitational last week she won the 800 meters and placed 2nd in the 4x800 relay. She is currently ranked #10 on the Oak Hills all time list for the 800 meters.

Ra'niyah Martin     Girls' Track     Sr
Ra'niyah has been a standout team member for the Oak Hills track team the past several weeks. Her focus and hard work have really been paying off. At the Elder Invitational last week, Ra'niyah won the 100 meters, was part of the winning 4x100 relay and finished 4th in the 200 meters. So far she has achieved #6 on the Oak Hills all time list in the 200 meters and #4 in the 100 meters.

Hunter Shouse             Boys' Track           Sr
Hunters has been a great addition to the team during his first year as a track and field athlete. He started as a sprinter, but voluntarily moved up to mid distance to fill a gap that our team had. As a mid distance runner, Hunter has flourished. He was part of the 4x800 relay team that won at the Elder Invitational last week and was 3rd in the 800 meters running a personal best time.

Aidan Whitaker     Boys' Track      Sr
Aidan has overcome a rough start to his season with a second place finish in the discus at the Elder Invitational last week. He is Oak Hills' top thrower and has high hopes to place among the top in the GMC and Districts in the coming weeks. The leadership that Aidan has shared with the throwing group has been invaluable to the team's development.

Aiden White    Boys' Lacrosse    Jr
Aiden has been a great team captain this year.  Aiden continues to be a consistent leader and keep a positive attitude while moving his teammates forward to get ready for the 2nd half of our season.
