Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
Fletcher Kenkel Football Jr.
Fletcher is dealing with an injury that is keeping him off of the field but he is fulfilling an important role as a student coach. He helps coach during practice as well as helps the defense on Friday nights. He is working very hard at knowing our game plans and helping players understand their responsibilities.
Max Rhodes Football Sr.
Max had 13 solo tackles and 5 assists in Friday night's game vs Mason. Max also punted and returned a kick off for 16 yards.
Jeremy Bader Football Sr.
Jeremy has been a leader on the offense and takes price in giving maximum effort to blocking his assignment. He works at keeping the offense with a positive attitude in the offensive huddle.
Adrianna Combs Girls' Golf Sr.
Adrianna has been a leader on our Varsity team for the past 4 years. This past Saturday, she re-claimed MEDALIST at the Best of the West Tourney, defeating girls from all 6 West Side teams participating. She is an incredible student & athlete & is multi-talented in the theater arts at Oak Hills also.
Mady Linenkugel Girls' Soccer Sr.
Mady, a captain and four-year varsity starter, helped lead the Highlanders to an unbeaten week with two wins and a draw. Her experience and leadership on the back line have been key to the team’s undefeated start through nine games. Off the field, Mady is also excelling academically, taking several AP and honors courses.
Audrey Schnorbus Girls' Tennis Sr.
Audrey helped secure a team win over the Division II defending state champions, Indian Hill. Audrey won at 3rd singles 6-0, 6-4 as the team went on to win 3-2. Audrey has a 4.0 GPA while being a member of NHS and the German Honors Society. She is also a member of the orchestra as well as the academic team.
Drew Cohill Boys' Golf Soph
Drew shot 43 in a dual match vs Fairfield at Miami Whitewater. He is also on the Highlanders baseball team.
Ellie Polking Girls' Cross Country Fr.
Ellie had a standout race on Saturday at the Troy Twilight Invitational, placing 40th out of 347 competitors. She stepped up as the team’s #3 runner, crossing the line in 19:56 which is a 45-second personal best time. Despite being just a freshman, Ellie trains with consistency and races with the confidence of a seasoned runner. Her performance was a big part of helping the team earn 3rd place out of 28 teams.
Lindsey Curless Girls' Volleyball Sr.
Lindsey Curless - Our senior captain, Lindsey Curless led our team to a 2-1 week with big wins against Hamilton and Summit. Lindsey had 58 digs, 14 assists, 5 aces and passed a 2.22 out of 3 for the week
