Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

Will Elliott    Boys' Volleyball                  Sr.
Will had a great game versus Fairfield, with 18 kills in a hard fought 5 game match!

Josie Williams       Girls' Track            Sr
Josie excels in the long sprint races.  At Coaches Classic she ran the 400m leg of the 1600m medley relay and the lead off leg on the mixed 4x400m relay.  Josie wasn't feeling 100% before each of her races but was dead set on following through and doing the best she could for her team.  She ran fantastic times on both relays, helping each one to a pair of 3rd place finishes.

Collin Wilson                Boys' Track               Sr.
Collin has had a great start to his season. At the Coaches Classic Relays last week, he was a strong lead-off runner for both the winning 4x800 relay and the second-place DMR. Immediately after the DMR, he stepped in to run the 4x400, where he posted his fastest time of the year. He is currently ranked 7th in the state in the 800 meters, his 4x800 relay team is seeded 4th, and he holds the fastest 400 and 800-meter time on the team.

Ethan Moeves                 Baseball                   Sr.
In the last 4 games Ethan is 7/11 with 3 doubles, 4 RBI's, 8 runs scored, 4 BB, and 4 SB's. Ethan has been our vocal leader and leader by example both on and off the field since day one.

Annaliese Szabo               Softball                Sr.
Sr Pitcher Annaliese Szabo had a career high of 17ks in the GMC win over Princeton and added another 10 against the GMC match-up against Colerain. Annaliese has been solid on the mound for the Highlanders this season in the first 10 games of the season she has 86 strike-outs. Annaliese also works hard in the classroom with a 4.67 gpa.

Kennedy Schulte                     Girls' Lacrosse               Jr.
Kennedy delivered a record-setting performance against Miamisburg, scoring 10 goals in a single game. She added 2 ground balls, 1 draw control, and 2 caused turnovers. Kennedy also led offensively in a narrow 7–6 loss to Fairfield, finishing with 5 goals and 3 caused turnovers. She currently ranks second in the GMC with 29 goals this season.
