Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

Catherine Glogowski             Girls Tennis                   Sr.
Catherine earned her first varsity win this past week with a convincing 6-0, 6-0 win over Colerain at first doubles.  Catherine is an incredible leader, both on the tennis team and for all of Oak Hills. Catherine carries a 3.96 GPA while being a class officer, a member of NHS, and a member of Tri-M honor society. Catherine is also a member of the lacrosse team in the fall. After high school, Catherine wants to go to college for engineering or environmental science.

Sam Dew                Boys' Cross Country                Jr.
Sam had a strong result this past weekend at the Mason Invite, running a time of 18:21. This is over 1.5 minutes faster than his time last year on the same course. His hard work and consistent training over the past year is really paying off and helping his team!

Jarrard Harper                 Football                  Sr.
Jarrard played his most productive game. He had 5 solo tackles, 1 assist tackle, 1 tackle for a loss, and was a part of 3 sacks of Middletown's QB. Jarrard is also a part of our school's track team as a thrower.

Cooper Sweet                  Football                  Sr.
Cooper has consistently filled his role as a slot receiver with great play. Against Middletown, Cooper had 5 catches for 56 yards. On the season, Cooper averages over 11 yards a catch. He is a very good leader for our program. Cooper is also a member of our baseball team.

Alaina Sexton                 Girls' Cross Country                 Jr.
Alaina has made incredible progress this season, and her hard work and dedication continue to show each week. At the Mason Invitational on Saturday, she finished as the team’s #6 runner, helping Oak Hills capture the team championship. Despite the rain and muddy course conditions, Alaina ran a season-best time and raced with incredible focus and determination from start to finish. She continues to improve each week and is a positive, hardworking teammate who always gives her best at practices and meets.

Payton Kilgore                   Girls' Volleyball                 Sr.
Peyton had an amazing week for the team stepping into the libero role. Peyton ended up earning 37 digs, 21 assists, 5 aces and a pass average of 1.84. She played a huge role in the team's undefeated week against Lakota East, Hamilton and Lebanon.

Layla Baker           Girls' Soccer                Sr.
Layla, one of our senior captains and centerbacks, had an outstanding week against Hamilton, scoring two goals while helping lead the team to a shutout victory. A true leader on and off the field, Layla brings confidence, composure, and determination to the backline. She is a force to be reckoned with, using her size, strength, speed, and technical skill to make an impact all over the field.

Isabella Barker                 Cheerleading                      Soph
Bella is an incredible example of hard work, positivity, and dedication. She manages a demanding course load while maintaining an outstanding 4.74 GPA, all while being an active member of both the football and basketball sideline squads and competing on both competition teams. Bella is always supportive of her teammates and brings a positive attitude wherever she goes.
