Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to the Highlander athletes nominated for GMC Athletes of the Week!

 
Grace Aug        Sr.        Girls' Basketball
Grace has been an exceptional leader for the girls' basketball program the past 2 seasons. As team captain this year, her impact off the floor was just as valuable as her role on it. Grace’s outstanding work ethic and leadership abilities helped guide the team all year long. She has a 4.O GPA, is a Top 10 percent student, member of Student Council Executive Board, FCA, HOPE Squad and a multi-sport athlete.  
 
Owen Pelzer         Jr.          Boys' Swimming
Owen has qualified for state for the second year in a row in 100m Backstroke.
 
Samantha Gerde        So.         Girls' Swimming
Samantha qualified for Districts in 100 Breaststroke. She's the first girl to qualify in an individual event for a few years.  
 
Bobby Von Allmen           Sr.            Wrestling
Bobby placed 4th at the GMC wrestling tournament.  
 
Brandon Mitchell           Fr.       Wrestling  
 Brandon placed 3rd in the GMC Wrestling Tournament.
 
Jacob Berkemeier       Sr.         Boys' Basketball
Jacob is 1 of 5 seniors who started Friday night's game against Mason and who contributed to the victory that helped Oak Hills finish in 2nd place in the GMC. He's an outstanding student who also volunteers for many community service activities, leaving a strong legacy for future Highlander student-athletes! #HWSC
 
Zachary Moeller       Sr.         Boys' Basketball 
Zachary is 1 of 5 seniors who started Friday night's game against Mason and who contributed to the victory that helped Oak Hills finish in 2nd place in the GMC. He's an outstanding student who also volunteers for many community service activities, leaving a strong legacy for future Highlander student-athletes! #HWSC
 
Balor Appiarius       Sr.         Boys' Basketball 
Balor is 1 of 5 seniors who started Friday night's game against Mason and who contributed to the victory that helped Oak Hills finish in 2nd place in the GMC. He's an outstanding student who also volunteers for many community service activities, leaving a strong legacy for future Highlander student-athletes! #HWSC

Gabrielle Buccino       Sr.     Boys' Basketball
Gabby has been our video coordinator for the past 2 seasons. Her unselfish service allows her to be a role model for positively participating in an activity without receiving strong recognition.
