Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week - May 13th!

Sierra Dance     Softball     Sr.

Brandon Gaddis      Boys' Track        Sr.
As a Senior, Brandon stepped up big time at the GMC Championship meet. He left as GMC Champion in the Shot Put and recorded a 5th place finish in the discus, beginning what should be a strong postseason to cap of his high school career

Avery Aull        Girls' Track        Jr.
Avery stepped up and came through for the team with a lifetime best in the pole vault of 9 feet good for a 7th place finish in the GMC. Avery is the type of athlete coaches love to have on their teams, a hard worker who is always looking to improve and saves her best performances for when they matter most.

Sam Seibert        Boys' Track        Sr.
Another example of a Senior stepping up when the team needed it, Sam knew he had an outside shot at placing in the 2 mile at GMC Championships. After 3100 meters it came down to a final 100-meter sprint and Sam blew past two competitors on his way to a lifetime best and an 8th place finish scoring points for the team.

Austin Dennis           Baseball         So.
Austin was named MSA Sport MVP in a victory over LaSalle at UC's Baseball stadium. As a sophomore, Austin leads the team in ERA, and ranks 3rd in batting average. He plays several different positions in the infield and outfield as well as pitches. Austin is a 3-sport athlete (Baseball, Soccer, and Basketball) and is an excellent student.
