Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

Zack Kroger                Boys' Cross Country     Sr
Zack has spent most of the year working back to where he was last season. He was in a position that balanced him right on the edge of being on the varsity squad for the GMC meet. In the final race of the regular season, Zack stepped up and grabbed the opportunity in front of him, proving that he is the guy for the job. We are looking forward to Zack's best races yet as our team heads to the postseason. Zack is also a leader in the classroom as he ranks 6th out of 611 students in the senior class.

Molly Sheridan                 Girls' Soccer            Sr
Molly, a senior center back for the Highlanders, helped her team earn their 6th shutout of the season this past week against Kings. Molly's leadership, ability to win balls out of the air, technical skill and superb defending has been a real asset to the team. Molly also is an excellent student, taking 2 AP courses, and 2 college level courses.

Samantha Nuss                Girls' Golf          Jr
Samantha is currently in her 3rd season on the VARSITY Girls' Golf Team. Last year, she was a District qualifier, and this year, she has continued to be a HUGE value to the team as our steady number 2. She made 2nd team All GMC this year! She carries a schedule of 5 Honors/AP classes and is a leader, with great character.

Morgan Lint Girls' Tennis Fr
Morgan went 9-4 this season with 8 wins at first singles. Morgan and her doubles partner, Gabrielle Kadakia, qualified for districts with wins over Fairfield, St. Ursula, and Turpin during the sectional tournament.

Gabrielle Kadakia               Girls' Tennis              Soph
Gabrielle went 15-4 this season. This past week Gabrielle and her doubles partner, Morgan Lint, qualified for districts. During sectionals, they earned victories over Fairfield, St. Ursula, and Turpin.
