Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
 
Carson Kidd          Boy's Lacrosse          Sr
Carson was a great leader in a week with no games. He really stepped up each day to make sure everyone was playing to their highest potential during practice so that we were prepared for the upcoming game week.
 
Morgan Dornbusch Softball Sr
Morgan is an active Executive Board member of NHS and one of the prominent leaders of the team. Morgan is the Highlanders #1 relief pitcher whose stats will never show her full efforts. She is always in the bull-pin staying ready for when she’s called. In 3/4 scrimmages she held the opponent to less than 3 hits each appearance. Morgan holds the toughest/less desirable job and the Highlanders can not find success without her commitment to her role this season.
 
Daniel Miller              Boys' Tennis       Soph  
Daniel has put in a lot of work this past off season and has blossomed into a solid doubles player. This past week he played first doubles against St. Xavier "B" and earned a 6-1, 6-3 victory with Paul Nienaber. In addition to tennis, Daniel carries a 4.0 GPA, runs cross country, is a member of French Honor Society, and frequently volunteers at his church. After high school Daniel plans on going to college for mathematics.
