Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
 
Jillian Yates           Girls' Track and Field            Sr
Jillian won both the shot put and discus competitions at the Lakota East invitational on Saturday. Her throw of 120' 6" is a new Oak Hills school record! Her toss in discus is currently leading the GMC, the District and is 14th in the state. She now owns the school records in both of the throwing events.
 
Ryan Linenkugel Boys' Track Fr
Ryan has been having an incredible freshman season. At the Lakota East invite on Saturday he placed in all three events that he competed in. Ryan was 7th in long jump with a new personal best, 7th in the 300m hurdles with a new personal best and was the lead off leg of the 1st place 4x200 relay.
Maeve Fink         Softball           Jr
Maeve Fink has been hot at the plate collecting hits in all 4 games last week going 7/13 (.538) and adding a homerun against Colerain. Maeve has been a solid defender for the Highlanders holding down 1b with 34 putouts while committing no errors. Maeve not only excels on the field but off as well. She is an active member of NHS and ranks among the top in her class.
 
Ethan Campbell Boys' Tennis Sr
Ethan earned his two varsity wins of his career this past week with wins over Colerain and Middletown. Ethan maintains a 4.0 GPA and is set to graduate as he earns highest honors in his class. Ethan is planning to attend UC this coming fall.
 
Bradey Lagreca            Baseball                Jr
Bradey batted .300 for the week and played stellar defensively at shortstop. He is currently second on the team in runs scored. He also does the job in the classroom with a 3.62 GPA.
