Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

Josie Adamson          Girls' Golf            Jr
Josie picked up golf a year ago & has dedicated herself to learning & practicing all throughout the off-season. She progressed from being a brand new golfer to being in the top 4 on the Varsity team! She is a huge asset to the team finishing in the top 5 in all 4 of our pre-season tournaments against 12-20 teams each time. She has accomplished this while maintaining a 4.0 in her Honors & AP classes & while serving on the Executive Board for OHHS NHS.
Quentin Burgess Boys' Cross Country Sr
In his first varsity race, Quentin stepped up and finished as the 5th runner on our team. On a course that proved to be slow for almost everyone else, he managed a lifetime best!
Jessica Rogozinski        Girls' Soccer             Sr
The Senior defender/forward, helped her team earn its first shutout of the season this past week vs Ursuline Academy. She also recorded her first varsity career assist and goal this week, in two seperate games. Jessica also takes all Honors and AP courses!
RJ MIller Football Sr
RJ Miller had 5 solo tackles, 4 pass break ups and the fumble recovery that sealed the win for the Highlanders on Friday vs Sycamore.
Gabby Osborn        Girls' Tennis        Jr
Gabby has brought a great energy to the team and has emerged as a key doubles player. Gabby has played with four different partners in the beginning of the season, and has become a leader on the court. Furthermore, Gabby carries a 4.0 GPA, is a member of NHS, and frequently volunteers.
Alyssa Hammond Girls' Cross Country Sr
Alyssa placed as the teams top runner in Friday nights Moeller Primetime race. She placed 6th out of 181 runners helping her team to a 3rd place finish out of 18 teams. Alyssa is also a varsity track athlete and excels in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA.
