Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

 
Will Kadakia    Boys' Golf    Soph
Will earned 2nd team all GMC shooting 164 in the 2-day tournament. He followed up with a 78 at the Best of the West and earned all tournament team honors. Will excels in the classroom as the 13th ranked student in his class.
 
Lucy Rankin Girls' Golf Sr
Lucy is a 4.0 student in Honors & AP classes, a member of NHS, involved in numerous school activities, in the top 1% of her senior class & a terrific golfer. She was runner-up for top individual golfer in a tourney this year with 12 teams & was recently named 2nd team All-GMC. She's been part of the varsity golf team all 4 years of high school & is a vital part of our winning season.
 
Kyle Toon Football Sr
Kyle caught 6 passes for 114 yards and a long gain of 55 yards. 
 
Max Rhodes           Football                Fr
Max had 12 tackles including 10 solo tackles this past week against Colerain.
 
Luke Banschbach           Boys' Soccer         Sr
Luke scored a goal and had 1 assist this past week vs. Colerain. Luke also punts for the Varsity Football team.
 
Peyton Bennett              Girls' Volleyball         Sr
Peyton had 7 kills and 2 assists against Colerain and 10 kills against Princeton for two big wins for the week.
 
Natalie Reed Girls' Soccer Soph
Natalie helped the Highlanders to a big GMC victory over Colerain this past week, by scoring 2 goals and helping the team earn the shutout. These goals were Natalie's first career High School goals. Natalie has been a huge to the team's success by playing multiple positions and helping shut down opponent's attacks and helping the Highlanders attack.
 
Elena Sullivan Girls' Soccer Soph
Elena scored her 1st Career Varsity High School goal this past week against Colerain. Elena has been energetic in the midfield and has done a great job connecting the backline with the forwards. She has helped the Highlanders attack as well as keeping opponents from scoring.  
 
Caitlynn Wunderlich Girls' Cross Country Jr
Caitlyn is an incredible team leader. She is a positive, determined and hard working athlete. She placed as the team's #6 runner this past Saturday at the Firebird Invitational. She is a varsity track athlete who also works very hard in the classroom and has a 4.0 GPA.   
 
Avery King           Girls' Tennis                Sr
Avery and her partner, Gabby Osborn, had an awesome comeback win last week against Ursuline. Avery has been a four year varsity starter and a major contributor to the team. She has also taken on a great leadership role this year. Avery currently attends class at UC and wants to become a doctor.
