Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

 
RJ Miller         Football               Sr.
RJ had ten tackles this week leading the defense to a 14-7 Homecoming victory over Hamilton High School. RJ also played TE and FB to assist the offense. He has continued over his career to display a selfless attitude and willingness to play wherever is needed to help his team.
 
Abby Linenkugel Girls' Soccer Sr.
Abby is a 4 year varsity starter for the Highlanders. She has transitioned from being a forward to being a center-back for the team. Abby has been a huge part of the team's success with her leadership, experience, technical skillset and overall knowledge of the game. Abby also takes all honors courses and a college credit course.   
 
Anna Price                Girls' Cross Country           Soph
Anna placed as the team's #2 runner this past Saturday finishing 14th overall at the Ross Invitational. She improved her time by 33 seconds, running a personal best time of 20:15.
 
Robin John Girls' Cross Country Sr.
Robin placed 2nd in the JV race at the Ross Invitational this past Saturday as well as the Centerville race two weeks ago. At the Ross Invitational Robin improved her time by 58 seconds running a career personal best time of 21:17.
 
Brayden Holland Boys' Cross Country Jr.
Brayden was 6th man for the Highlanders at the Ross Invite. He ran a personal best on Saturday, for the first time in two years. Brayden has had a challenging road back from lower leg problems, but has had a fantastic season and seems to be saving his best for the end of the season!
