Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

Maeve Fink      Softball          Sr.
Maeve has been a consistent contributor toward the Highlanders 12-0 start this season. Maeve has batted clean-up for the majority of the season and plays 1B. Maeve has been hot the last few games going 11/17 at the plate (.647) along with making some key defensive plays including a HUGE double play to end a key inning that allowed the Highlanders to take the win against Johnson Central. Maeve is not only successful on the softball field but in the classroom as well. Maeve is a member of NHS and carries a 4.0 and ranks 22nd in her class.

Leni Sullivan Girls' Track Soph
Leni ran 3 amazing races at the Harrison Invitational on Friday. She helped her 4x800 team to a 2nd place finish and season best time running a PR time of 2:27. She placed 5th in the 400 running a PR of 61.88. She ended the night as the lead off leg to the winning mixed 4x400 relay team.

Demar Parker               Boys' Track              Jr.
Demar spent a short amount of time injured recently, but came back a whole different person. He has taken ownership of the 400m, which is a race he had very little experience with. Demar had two great races at the Harrison Invite and has made a very strong bid for being a permanent member of our 4x400 relay team.

Aiden Thomas Baseball Jr.
Aiden has pitched 13 innings and has a 1.07 ERA. He is second on the pitching staff with 15 strikeouts. He is also doing well in the classroom with a 3.97 GPA.

Anna scored 4 goals and had 5 draw controls and 4 ground balls in a win against Miamisburg 12-10. She also scored 5 goals and had 9 draw controls and 3 ground balls in a loss against Lakota West. Anna is a senior midfielder and has a 3.71 GPA.

Madison Coster Girls' Lacrosse Jr.
