Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

Joseph Getz           Boys' Cross Country             Fr
Joseph surprised us last week with a great first career performance. His race this week was even more impressive, as he ran a personal best time to achieve the spot of 7th man on the team. His quick progress has been a welcomed surprise and we can't wait to see what he'll do next!

Bella, a Goal Keeper for the Highlanders, had 18 saves and 2 shutouts this past week. She helped her team earn two big wins over Lakota West and Seton. Bella also gets it done in the classroom, as she takes 3 honors courses and holds a 3.5 GPA.

Emma Herzog              Girls' Tennis              Jr
Emma earned her first Varsity win this season at 2nd singles against Princeton. This helped the team secure their first 5-0 win of the season. Along with her relentless effort on the tennis court Emma is a 4.0 student in the classroom.

Mady Linenkugel               Girls' Soccer             Soph
Mady, a center back for the Highlanders, has anchored the back line all season and helped her team earn 2 shutout wins this past week over Lakota West and Seton. Mady had the task of shutting down two potent offensive teams with very skilled forwards. Mady also gets it done in the classroom, as she takes 3 honors courses, 2 AP courses and holds a 4.0 GPA!
