Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to the Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

 
EJ Schneider               Boys' Cross Country                   Sr.
EJ is one of our team captains and a valuable leader.  He has helped the team grow together and become a cohesive group.  EJ has been one of our top runners all season and helped to lead the charge in workouts.  EJ doesn't submit to having bad days, he just gets the job done and in the process, sets a great example for his teammates.  
 
Chloe Eilerman       Girls' Soccer                 Sr.
Chloe, a senior captain for the Highlanders is a huge asset in the midfield. Chloe has helped the Highlanders collect 8 shutouts on the year by primarily playing the defensive midfielder position. Her experience, technical ability, physicality and smarts, has played a vital role in such a great year for the Highlanders. Chloe takes 1 AP and 1 College class as well as attending Diamond Oaks.  
 
Mary Blessing                   Girls' Soccer                      Jr.
Mary, a Junior midfielder, collected 1 goal and 2 assists this past week. She got the lone goal at state ranked Springboro in a 1-1 draw. Mary plays attacking mid and has really sparked the attack for the Highlanders. Mary also has a 4.0 GPA while taking 4 AP and 2 honors courses!
 
Annabelle Hageman             Girls' Cross Country             Jr.
Annabelle has been a consistent #3 runner all season. At the Centerville Night Lights race this past Saturday, she placed as the #3 runner on the team and had a great sprint into the finish passing four runners with just 50 meters left in the race. She is a very dedicated athlete who has been a great leader and role model especially to the underclassmen on the team. She is a three-sport varsity athlete competing in Cross Country, Track and Field, and swim team.
