Highlander GMC Athletes of the Week
Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!

Colin Klaserner              Boys' Cross Country    Soph.
Colin has been one of the team's top runners for the entire season.  His great attitude and competitive spirit has helped our team to grow and has set us up for a great future.  Colin spent the last few weeks of the season fighting off a virus, but still gave 100% of his effort for the team.  He is the kind of team member that holds a group together.

Debra Brogan      Girls' Golf     Sr.
Debra played in the 2-day, 36-hole STATE TOURNAMENT at Ohio State University & earned 13th place in D1 in the state of Ohio! Debra has earned her way to Districts every year of high school as our #1 golfer on varsity (twice as an individual & twice with the team). She shot a 79 on Day 1 & just 1 over par on Day 2 (71)!

Kane Powell               Football           Jr.
The junior defense back recorded two solo tackles and his varsity interception on Friday night's 24-20 win over Middletown. Kane is also a multisport athlete who also carries a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.

Aidan Whitaker              Football                 Sr.
Aidan Whitaker is a senior multisport athlete and one of the unsung heroes of the offensive line. Much has been asked of Aidan this year and he has always responded with enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and relentless ambition.

Anna Price Girls' Cross Country Jr.
Junior captain Anna Price has been a great leader and role model on the team this season. Her positivity and determination has helped push the team to continue to improve. Anna also runs track, is a member of NHS and takes all AP and Honors classes. She has a 4.0 GPA and is ranked in the top 10% of her class.

Madison Smith                 Girls' Cross Country                        Jr.
In just her first year running Cross Country, Madison has improved her time by over 6 minutes from the beginning of the season. She gained strength and speed in every race that she ran. She is a very hard worker and determined runner. She is also a member of the Track and Field team.
