Congratulations to our Highlanders who were named GMC Athletes of the Week!
 
Brandon Mitchell      Wrestling        Jr
Brandon Mitchell won his second sectional championship this weekend! He had an amazing tournament. Brandon Mitchell also excels in the classroom and was a recipient of the Highest Honors academic award!
 
Dylan Pennekamp Wrestling Soph
Dylan Pennekamp placed 2nd this year at the sectional tournament. Dylan is now a 2-time District qualifier!  
 
Fred Tallarigo         Wrestling             Soph
Freddy wrestled an amazing tournament! He took 3rd this year at the sectional tournament, making him a district qualifier! Freddy also excels in the classroom and has received the academic award of High Honors!
 
Adham Shalash Wrestling Jr
Adham wrestled a great tournament! He took 4th this year at the sectional tournament, making him a district qualifier! Adham also excels in the classroom and has received the academic award of High Honors! Congratulations Adham!  
 
Kateri Hennessey        Girls' Bowling           Sr
Senior Kateri Hennessey led the girls bowling team at the Districts Tournament in Beaver-Vu this past week. She finished 48th out of over 120 individuals with a 536 series. Kateri ended her senior year 26th in the GMC with an average of 158.9 and an overall high game of 245.
 
Paige Mettey Girls' Bowling Sr
Paige Mettey finished her senior year 18th in GMC and as a member of the 2nd Team All-Conference Team. Paige rolled a nice series of 534 at the Districts Tournament in Beavercreek this past week, helping her team finish 15th out of 24 teams. Paige rolled a career-high game of 257 this season and was a very consistent anchor for the Girls Bowling team.   
 
Jaxon Schreiber          Boys' Basketball        Soph
Jaxon Schreiber, a multi-sport athlete, played very well in Oak Hills' overtime-  tournament loss to Turpin. He was 1 of  Oak Hills' toughest competitors the 2nd half of the season making many 50/50 plays, taking charges, and getting some tough rebounds. In addition, Jaxon consistently improved as a scorer. Jaxon holds a 3.8 GPA.
